A nameless man, rich and single, manages his business with a strong, unwavering hand and no
scruples. His competition is now leading a charge against him on the stock market, which
prompts the man to remember a childhood game of beer bottle caps. A heart attack and the news
that he might need a heart transplant determines him to head to a remote place, where the
Danube river meets the sea, a place of simple people and age-old customs.
Sorin Marin was born on February 11 th 1958, in Bucharest. In 1983 he graduated from the
Polytechnic Institute of Bucharest, then worked as an engineer until the fall of the communist
regime, in December 1989. From 1990 through 2001 he held various business interests in IT,
real estate and oil companies. In 2001, he withdrew from business and established ANONIMUL,
a foundation focused on cultural and social projects. Among its cultural projects is ANONIMUL
International Independent Film Festival.
Caps is his film debut.
